This
is my bike. A beautiful bike that fits in the landscape as it
was part of it. This picture was taken in Nilsiä, Finland |
|
The
thing I like best about this bike is that it has such an aesthetic
look to it. I could care less about the team colors and such.
But what's greatest is that underneath this shell is hidden
a high performance machine. Nobody would ever expect anybody
to go so fast on a bike that may look plain. But I have. |
Team
colors can only get you so far. I've ridden many full-suspension
bikes in my career. |
|
I
started out on a Cannondale Delta V 2000 in 1992. I loved
that bike but the Jekyll has come so much further since the
Delta V time. |
The
ultimate feature about the Jekyll, is that the geometry can
be changed to customize your riding style. That was the
first thing I did. And it didn't take me long to find my favorite
riding position. |
|
The
Jekyll is truly a fun bike to ride. And it boast all the qualities
a cross-country racer could look for. I love the fact that
this bike can be turned into a rigid/front suspension or a full
suspension bike in a matter of seconds. And, this all while you're
riding! |
The
truth is that I first thought I would have to lock the suspension
out all the time because the rear suspension felt so active. I
was afraid I would loose some power in the climbs. But, I was
wrong! |
Even
on the smoothest trails I found the ride to be more efficient
by riding fully suspended. And, it was so more comfortable.
I found myself doing the steepest climbs with the full-suspension
activated. |
What
can I say more. The Jekyll is just an awesome bike! When
you get a chance try it and you'll see for yourself. |
Proud
owner of a Cannondale Jekyll. Can you find Mr. Hide (Hyde) in
